1. Who we are

Maabar is a job-application assistant. This policy covers the hosted web app and the desktop app. Questions or requests: use the support address shown on the site.

2. What we store on our servers

• Your name and email address.
• A scrypt hash of your password. We cannot read your password.
• Your sign-up date and subscription status (plan, renewal or expiry date), so we know whether your account is active.
• A session cookie so you stay signed in.

3. What we never store

Your CV, dossier, skills, work history, job feed, drafted emails, cover letters, application history and mailbox settings are held in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on the device you use. We do not receive them, cannot read them, and could not hand them to anyone.

On the desktop app, all of that lives on your own computer in the same way.

4. Data that passes through us but is not kept

Three things a browser is not allowed to do itself are relayed by our server and discarded the moment they finish:

• Fetching job listings from public job boards and company career pages.
• Checking whether an employer's email address exists, by asking their mail server.
• Sending your application emails through your own mailbox. Your mailbox credentials travel with that one request, are used to send it, and are never written to disk or logged.

5. Payments

Subscriptions are handled by Freemius, our payment provider. Card details go to them and never to us; we only learn whether your licence is active. See Freemius's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

6. Your rights

• Access and portability: Settings → Export profile gives you a complete copy of your data in a portable file, at any time.
• Erasure: Settings → Delete account removes your identity record from our servers and clears your data from the browser. This cannot be undone.
• Correction: you edit your own data directly in the app.

Because your content never reaches us, most of these rights you exercise yourself, instantly, without asking us.

7. Cookies

One cookie, for your session, so you are not asked to sign in on every page. No advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics.

8. Emails you send

Maabar sends job applications from your own mailbox, not from ours. You are the sender; the employer sees your address. You are responsible for the content of what you send, and you can review and edit every message before it goes.

9. Children

Maabar is not intended for anyone under 16.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.

1. What Maabar does

Maabar finds job postings, judges how open each one realistically is to you, and prepares applications - an email, a CV tailored to that posting, and a cover letter - which you review and send. It is a tool that assists your job search. It is not an employment agency, a recruiter, or a guarantee of any outcome.

2. No promise of a job

We do not promise interviews, replies, offers or employment. Hiring decisions belong entirely to employers. Eligibility colours and fit scores are informed estimates from the text of a posting, not legal or immigration advice.

3. Your account

• You must give a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
• One account is for one person. Do not share it.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.

4. Honest use - this matters

Everything Maabar writes is built only from what you put in your dossier; it never invents experience. You agree that:

• The information you enter is true.
• You review applications before sending them, and you are the author and sender of every message that leaves your mailbox.
• You will not use Maabar to send bulk unsolicited mail unrelated to genuine job applications, to harass anyone, or to misrepresent your qualifications.

Accounts used for spam or misrepresentation are closed without refund.

5. Your mailbox

Applications are sent through your own email account, using credentials you provide. You are subject to your mail provider's own limits and rules; exceeding them is between you and them. Maabar paces sending to help protect your account, but cannot guarantee any provider's behaviour.

6. Third-party sources

Job listings come from public job boards and company career pages. We do not control their accuracy, availability, or how long a posting stays open.

7. Subscription and payment

• Subscriptions are billed through Freemius and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Refunds follow the refund policy shown at checkout.

8. Your data is yours

Your dossier and history live on your device. Export them at any time. If your account ends, whatever is in your browser remains yours until you clear it - and clearing your browser data deletes it, so keep an export as your backup.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, provider outages and job-source changes can interrupt parts of it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Maabar is provided "as is", and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost opportunities, lost employment, or indirect losses.

11. Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
